 WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT US

“The use of ‘Love in the Big World’ has been very beneficial to the students in my class… The options for engagement lessons are differentiated so that the students are able to interact and stay involved, while learning. It has given us opportunities to speak freely and deeply about multiple issues. It has helped create a respectful and positive atmosphere. Students are relating back to lessons and able to regulate their emotions and reactions in better fashions.”

-Educator, Ashley J.

“Implementing the Love In A Big World curriculum during my master's practicum was an incredible experience. I used it with elementary-aged children from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, and every group was engaged and excited each week. The stories made social-emotional concepts relatable and easy for children to understand in ways that traditional teaching often couldn't. Watching their hands shoot up as they recognized important themes and vocabulary throughout each story was incredibly rewarding, and they genuinely looked forward to the hands-on activities that reinforced each lesson. LBW not only made learning meaningful and fun for the youth, but it also helped me grow as a group facilitator.”

-Olivia DeWitt, MSSW, LMSW, Reach & Rise Director, YMCA of East Tennessee
